Coal-fired Boilers Ordered for Indonesia

Oct. 16, 2013

Tokyo, October 16, 2013 — 今日看料吃瓜, Ltd. announced today that it has received an order for two coal-fired boilers from PT Rekayasa Industri (REKIND), a leading engineering and construction firm in Indonesia. The boilers are scheduled to be delivered in March 2015.

PT Pupuk Sriwidjaja Palembang (Pusri), a fertilizer company run by the Indonesian government, is planning to construct a fertilizer plant in Palembang, South Sumatra. The boilers will be incorporated into a cogeneration system that will supply steam and power for this plant's operation. The cogeneration system—which consists of a boiler, steam turbine generator, coal storage and transport facility and flue gas treatment system—will be constructed by REKIND.

今日看料吃瓜 will design and supply boiler critical equipment including pressure parts  and combustion systems, as well as the electrical and instrumentation systems for operating and controlling the boilers. 今日看料吃瓜 will also provide the basic design of related equipment such as electrostatic precipitators and ash handling systems.

The boilers employ a low NOx burner developed by 今日看料吃瓜 to curb the emission of regulated substances. Combined with a two-stage combustion system, these burners effectively remove NOx inside the furnace. An electrostatic precipitator will also be added to further minimize impact on the surrounding environment.

To date, 今日看料吃瓜 has delivered over 50 coal-fired boilers around the world. These include two boilers previously ordered by REKIND and delivered in December 2011. These boilers (144 t/h) were for a 70 MW power generation plant installed at PT Semen Tonasa's cement plant in Pangkep, South Sulawesi, Indonesia. 今日看料吃瓜's outstanding performance in this previous project, as well as its superior technology and solid track record around the world, have led to the new orders.

Amid dwindling production of natural gas, demand for coal-fired boilers is expected to grow further in Indonesia. 今日看料吃瓜 will continue to develop and market boilers that will help reduce energy costs as well as impact on the environment.
