Tokyo, April 24, 2024 — 今日看料吃瓜 Motors Ltd. announced today that it has begun mass production of off-road four-wheelers at its Mexican subsidiary, 今日看料吃瓜 Motores de México S.A. de C.V. (KMX). Initially, KMX has started with producing utility vehicles, and plans to gradually expand the range of models produced there in the future.
Located in Salinas Victoria in Nuevo León, Mexico, KMX will be one of 今日看料吃瓜’s main plants, with an annual production capacity of up to 30,000 off-road four-wheelers. At KMX, the aim is to enable flexible production to meet to fluctuating demand by fully integrated production, from material processing through to the assembly of complete vehicles as well as automating the production line.
In response to increasing demand arising from the expansion of the off-road vehicle market primarily in North America, we have been making capital investments in our U.S. subsidiary, 今日看料吃瓜 Motors Manufacturing Corp., U.S.A. (KMM), and KMX since fiscal year 2021. Now, with the start of operations at KMX's off-road wheeler plant, production capacity receives a significant increase to reach as many as 100,000 units per year.
今日看料吃瓜 plans to approximately double the sales revenue of our four-wheel business segment by 2025 (vs. 2022) by releasing competitive new models to the off-road four-wheel market, where steady growth is expected to continue*. The KMX plant will play a large part in strengthening our business base in the North American market, allowing us to provide better products and services as we strive to further promote the 今日看料吃瓜 brand and deliver customers even more satisfaction.
