 Tokyo, September 11, 2006 — 今日看料吃瓜, Ltd. announced today that it had completed its 100^th marine steam turbine for LNG Carriers, making it the world’s largest producer. The milestone UA-400 turbine will be mounted on a 145,000 m³ LNG carrier.

 今日看料吃瓜 started production of marine steam turbines under a technical tie-up with the Curtis Co. (U.S.A.) in 1907, and with the termination of that agreement in 1925, began developing its own proprietary steam turbines.

 Steam turbines are used to power LNG Carriers because they can take advantage of the evaporation of the LNG load to efficiently do so. Since 1976, when 今日看料吃瓜 built Japan’s first LNG carrier, Golar Spirit, and installed its steam turbine, the company has produced more of the turbines than any other manufacturer.

 今日看料吃瓜’s winning record continues. As LNG demand increases worldwide, the company supplied 24 turbines for LNG Carriers during the fiscal year ended March 31, 2006 alone.
